Meet the Team
Sandro Lombardi
Founder and Computer Vision Engineer
Sandro Lombardi studied computer science with a focus on visual computing at ETH Zurich, after which he pursued a doctorate in computer vision at the Computer Vision and Geometry Group (CVG). During his PhD and postdoc years, he focused on 3D reconstruction and neural representations, working in close collaboration with ETH spin-off Astrivis on bridging the gap from research to production systems.
He founded Maivico to offer independent computer vision consulting and engineering across research, development, and production. He holds the HERMES 2022 Foundation certification and is familiar with the project management methodology established in Switzerland. Through Maivico, he helps startups and SMEs develop practical computer vision solutions for real-world use.
Désirée Hohl
Administration and Marketing
Désirée Hohl is an administrative generalist with experience in hospitality, banking, and various back-office roles. With her aptitude for IT, she joined Maivico to manage day-to-day operations like accounting, social media, marketing, and customer communications.
